It should be possible to get the oil light to work Maybe not an f2 sensor as it does the light up then fade out as a test The problem with the LC/LC2 oil light may be that its a constant 12v that the earth is switched via the oil switch or tested through the neutral switch You can use a small relay to isolate the original signal and change it to a "normal" switched 12v signal Steve Good thoughts. Would be nice to see someone build that and have it working.

Norbo has Genuine Yamaha side stands at £150 so personally I would be starting there. Higgspeeds sidestands are advertised to fit 250/350LC's the ones listed on Norbos site are for the YPVS models. OEB Nigel, Norbo just did an update and has OEM LC stands listed, £395.

i assume youre fitting these on an LC?
I have them on a ypvs, using the ypvs cable... so not helpful. If i was using them on an LC Id expect the LC cable to work.. and If use an OEM, cos of the oil pump cable issues.

honestly its not that hard. Look at the wiring diagram for the bike and the clocks and get a notepad handy and start jotting down the wire colours and what should connect to what as you trace the diagrams.

Just watched the Shed and Buried Classic Cars ep with the 1500. Looked an less than idea set of cuts for the repair to the overider/bumper+bonnet mount but most Spits would have had worse to get through MOTs I guess and that bonnet was a horrid fit, but otherwise it was good looking car once resprayed. 69k miles was original... er, ok... lol

you can shim it and try that, nothing to lose etc.
IME its usually its the shaft and the kicker that have worn oval so the spring/ball isnt working as designed.

Would you want to risk going Chinese though on such an important part? Surely the 'extra flow' units are all Chinese these days?

plenty of chat about these over the years. not all have hardened shafts. Have a look in the search as you should be able to find those discussions plus those about bigger rads and impellers together etc.

The servo is easy as has been shown, the controller is always hard as the LC has little room.
Strip a PV loom from an old loom (its separate) and then you can see where you can find a space. I went with under the seat mount and above the shock, but its not ideal tho it is neat.

Yes there will be a few more twists and turns to this story but with the same owners,it like someone smashing up your bike and setting it on fire then a few months later offer to rebuild for you ! yes... and using non standard parts and doing a half arsed job to copy what you had... and then delivering it to the roundabout near your house for you instead of your home.

Make them look like saviours rather than arsonists! yes. its a very clever ploy i reckon. They may even pull it off which would be worrying.

Ahh, very clever defence to the demolition... and the 'logic' about the new location.
Plus... the pub'll be a draw for them when they build a bunch of houses (it'll be a community!) there as well...
They certainly aint stupid and I bet the council agrees with them in the end and there are no convictions.
I expect this isnt at all what they wanted but their legal team burnt some midnight oil to come up with this and very little can be disproved.

Give it a good coat of a protection coat, something like wax or modern equiv, to keep the shine a bit longer after this stuff, it'll help.

Should add that ive had a bit of a nightmare with parcels the past month... This one was just a black hole of nothing until I used the whatsapp number and now its on its way... proof is in the opening when it arrives of course. Then there was the ebay one that made it half way across Aus but probably got its label damaged as about 5miles from my house they decided to send it back cos the address was 'invalid'... WTAF?! Ive lived here 15 years and have received over 1000 parcels and mail items so I know the addy is fine... Messaged and phoned within 2 hours of them doing a return 'track' and yet customer service will do nothing to locate it, so its going back to the sender. Ive worked Mail Centers, its findable... but they dont want to bother, its much more important to clear the ticket i raised than save money and keep the customer happy. And then there is the FedEx parcel from CMS that made constant journeys between France and Belgium. Daily... I think it was stuck in the container and that was what was tracked doing the journeys, but it went on for a while... finally that parcel is now been cleared by customs here. Dare I order anything else?! and that my friends is exactly why I don't ship anything abroad anymore ! Dave, Hmm... only one of those was an issue with an international postal organisation shipping stuff all over the place and only eventually working it out. Another was local post in Aus who had a damaged label. And of course, the first one was the company highlighted in this thread being off their game and not responding. Im not sure id can the idea of international postage based on this set of results. I certainly havent of course... EDITED... I also forgot. A forumer sent me a small parcel within the UK to my folks 3 weeks back, that also didnt turn up and is presumed lost now. So maybe its 'post' in general thats the issue as it seems even if we ignore Digital Speedos* (which is a business issues and not post... well not yet :/) and stick with postal orgs, we can see that Auspost, RoyalMail and also FedEx are useless. * - Tho its coming a combination of Royal Mail and Auspost... hmm... They say if everyone else is the issue, then its probably you... in this case I conclude the only factor that remains the same is me... Therefore: Dont send me anything!

Be great if someone could replicate them Jon. Out of interest, did you ever source a replacement for the lock covers?, by that I mean the stainless disc with the key slot in?. I didnt, I guess they could be made, but you'd need to make dies. Wouldnt take much pressure on the thin stainless blanks which could be lasered, but hard without the dies

An update from me as well...
Using the number supplied by Mark, I contacted them and like Mark's expereince they were pretty sorry for the experience I'd had. Said all the right things and vowed to sort it out.
They were able to find that they had my stuff coming into their warehouse on Friday last week, even tho it was said to be all stock items when i ordered it.
They promised to turn it around and send it out the same day.
This they have done and Ive received a tracking number and can see that its on its way.
Let's hope its all in the box and there are no further issues. I'll report back when my parcel lands.
