I run my own firm so that takes up a lot of time and energy, I spend the majority of the weekend mornings watching my lad play football for a couple of local teams.
He is being scouted by the mighty Burnley FC so it may be worth while if he gets signed up.
I am the Governor for a couple of Secondary schools which I help to run and I do like a cheeky 'smoke' when I get the chance. Love riding the bike (and the Mrs) at every oppurtunity.

I have too many hobbies......
my job is radio controlled aeroplanes, helicopters and cars etc. so it's a hobby as well and has been since I was about 6. Both me and the wife do a lot of martial arts, mainly kick boxing now.
I collect bikes and will start racing again as soon as I finish the house.
Oh, and I do a bit of off roading in my discovery.
and I shoot things... lots of things... mainly furry things but some with feathers, hence the gun collection...

I like running, I'm trying to become fast as fook. ;D I'm in a terrible period now though, my top speed has decreased tremendously nowadays and I'm trying to work my way back up to higher speeds. Most of the lack of speed is down to an elbow injury back in the summer of 2010, it made it impossible to be able to train with heavy weights. Bloody hell, I could only bench press 45 kg's and that felt too damn risky. I'm starting to get back in shape now though but it's alot to work on. ATM I reach around 32 km/h. Not very fast compared to before but I'll see what I can do. I'm hoping to reach 35 km/h soon but I don't think I'll be able to get up to that speed this year because of lack of muscle building excercises etc, but maybe 2012 I'll be back in a better shape. Below you see a video of a poor-ish run. I was tired as fook at 6 sec and slowing down at 7 sec mark. ;D There's a few reasons why I couldn't run faster that day, but why bother writing it all down? It'll only sound like bad excuses lol. 2011 was supposed to be "THE year" but it all failed as I didn't have enough muscles when starting the year. It started good and I beat my PB on 60 m and the future looked pretty freakin bright, but throughout the months I became weaker, slower accelerator, top speed decreasing etc. I will try not to make the same mistake again. But, you never know when a new badass injury shows up, making it impossible to get stronger/beefier. It may be hard to believe, but the fall/winter/spring time is much more important then the actual running season. If you don't have the basic physics all worked out by the late spring, it's like trying to build a house without first building the foundation. Obviously that's just plain stupid, It'll just be a roof directly mounted on the ground, and then you try stuffing the foundation in underneath the roof and hope itl'll install itself somehow lol. It's just no good. ;D

Country sports, includes Working my Springer Spaniels and Carp Fishing.
Being only a couple of miles from Oulton Park race circuit, its got to be then watching bikes.

I work with gardening stuff all day long, mostly cleaning weeds from flowerbeds, cutting hedges, trimming grass etc. Sometimes we run up/down stairs, cleaning the steps with a mop. Oh the joy! ;D I must admit though, gardening is pretty fun, IF you're in your own yard with no deadlines etc to follow. Sometimes I do a little work at home (mostly grass cutting/trimming and pulling up ugly weeds though, nothing out of the ordinary) and it's fun when you can take it in a slower pace and do whatever you want.

Not sure if I can call this a hobby, but it's one of the things that takes up some of my spare time. I like building stuff! Not for the sake of building just because it's cheap, (actually I don't think it's cheaper considering the electric bills lol) but because I want to build stuff that are in better quality then the original stuff you can buy. Or I build because of boredom. My latest project was a little sprocket for the rear gear on my mtb. The original ones are made in plastic and the tensioner gear doesn't last very long, so I made one in mild steel instead. There is a hardened bush in the centre that are press fitted. That is a Shimano part though, I nicked it from another gear, so they do something right obviously, but not all Shimano gears has steel bushes inside them. Trial fitted.. Painted. Hope this bugger lasts for a few decades lol.
