130mm diameter norbo . made north weald but not on the bike . anyway having been concerned about certain tacho readings (ie telling me i had reved the thing to 14500 revs and still not found any real power ) and seat of the pants power , gear ratios etc ....... i knew it was wrong but didn't want to blow or seize it . then i remembered the crappy old yam system sprks both coils even when 1 of them isn't firing . so i went went out and gave it some . fuark me for an lc this thing is proper proper quick . at north weald i had a spin on my mates ......... hang on 75bhp pv lc rgv now that thing flies , realy is swift . but the way the power comes in on this 421 realy is very impressive . it feels as violent as my tuned (97bhp) rg500 but has more torque lower down oh and before anyone comments , yes at the dyno day that lc/pv clocked 45bhp but the power valves weren't spinning , since sorted and re-dyno'd

had a little incident on the a414 today . coolant pipe blew off luckily a guy i had just overtaken on a fireblade saw the steam my bike had started producing and as i slowed and the bike started to hiccup he pulled alongside and started waving a pointing madly . i stopped called the wife who duly came with some tools replacement pipe and coolant and i limped it home . i also lost the clutch on the way home (must use more locktight ) an adjuster bolt un-did andway long and short is the bike is in bits while i check to see if i knipped her up , i think i was lucky and the hiccuping was due to the coils being jetwashed by the spraying coolant , and to re-adjust and locktight the adjuster bolt . oh well i was looking for something to do .

took the head off and i've been lucky , but this coolant stuff is very oily feeling (no it's not contaminated) and sticky and covering everything so i'll give it a good clean while its apart and will have it back on the road wednesday , fingers crossed .

coolant is horrible stuff when it leaks everywhere second only to brake fluid! finaly managed to stop the pipes leaking black goo on my lc the other day. 2 strokes, you have to love them!

bit sad that i am the only one posting on my own thread . but update is thus went out today to high beach met a mate on a r6 new one . lock up clutch is slipping (took the bolts off the flyers in an attempt to give it more feel) but maybe this give some idea of how savagely the the power comes in . spins from 8 to 10 before it beds in thru 12 . still running about 5 degs higher than i would like , but as an addative waterwetter rocks . gonna fit the bolts bak on the lock up and adjust it back

I love the black and silver paint scheme, really looks the nuts. I'd love a hybrid, i think they look the nuts! Maybe when i've finished tinkering with my 31K i'll give making a hybrid a bash!!

f**k me stripped it re-adjusted it checked plates put some weights on and it still slips . only briefly between about 9 and 9,700 then it beds in , i'm wondering if its a sticky cable or something . its not a grooved outer but thats how it feels . don't get me wrong i could ride it forever like this i just don't intend to . oh and i'm going to fit a larger rad , its not running badly hot about 77 c average peaking at about 82 ......do you lot agree

First time i've seen this thread - lovely bike mate.
I'm currently building mine with a view to running it at North Weald (amongst other places). Doyou still go there? I've never seen your bike up there (and i would definatly notice it if i saw it!)
What sort of times did you run on it?
