Small improvement probably due to elimination of leaks. But the problem persists Unfortunatly left cylinder still missfires and engine doesn't rev above 7K. I will (re) inspect electrical harness. Any new idea welcome.

How were the cylinders (clearance, bores, marks), piston rings / pistons when you got them out?
Switching plug wires and plugs would eliminate electrical issues specific to the left pot, as it runs wasted spark. Have you checked the timing with a light?
Does the right cylinder run cleanly above 7k?

Does the right cylinder run cleanly above 7k? Some light vertical marks ... cylinders were rebored, new pistons & rings Plug wires already switched many times...Timing done with dial gauge and checked with light. Engine doesn't rev above 7K

I've not read the full thread for a while but did you do a full balls out clean of the carbs Inc air correction circuit?

I didn't measure it But symptoms were the sames before reboring and renewing rings & pistons...

I've not read the full thread for a while but did you do a full balls out clean of the carbs Inc air correction circuit? I tried with two sets of carbs. The first one was ultasonicly cleaned with brass balls removed. Second set comes from a running bike and I mount it untouched.

It's sounds like you covered that then. I assume getting enough fuel and no blockage in filter or fuel pipes. Does throttle tube and throttle cable allow full opening of carb slides? No blockage in air box, left a cleaning rag inside? Might be worth removing rubbers between carbs and airbix temporary to check. Are exhausts carboned up? Can you try alternatives? If it's not fuel, air or exhaust then prob electrical. I'm sure the more qualified can provide some further insights. Good luck with it.

Carb slides can fully open and are synchronized (I see the markings through the windows) I will have a try without rubbers tomorrow Already tried with others exhausts...unsuccessful Electrical...already swap stator, rotor, cdi, rectifier without success ! Thanks for your support

You've been right since the beginning...specially when you told me to swap the carbs... I finally did it this morning and... backfiring changed from left to right Then I decide to put my other right carb on right side but backfiring stays... However it seems to me that this carb was previously working on the right side I stop for today and will go on tomorrow with a clear head and step by step

Perhaps the carbs have sh1te parts in them (Keyster/Shyster)

Backfiring solved. One of the pilot jet was clogged...4 carbs only one with a clean pilot circuit...my mistake as I didn't check received "running" carbs. The main jets were also rubbish...marked 165 & 168 but in fact bigger than the 220 from the Kester kit...hence rebored Engine revs now to 8.000, I won't insist because of new top end. Thanks to everybody
