Only -3 up here
Woke up for the bog at 5am. Went back to bed and as I was lying there I remembered I'd left the water to the outside taps switched on (one is at the back door but the other is run underground to the detached garage out front)
Stumbled back out of bed in the dark, downstairs and into the kitchen
Opens and grapples about the under sink cupboard, switches the valve off and trots happily back to bed
Gets up this morning and goes to double check
Yep, I'd switched off the washing machine π€£

-4.5 here in Bolton at 5.45am this morning. Left the fazer 600 in the garage for the first time this year due to cold weather, just too icy to risk my 15 mile commute into Manchester. My little BMW 135 has heated seats too.....

6C in my kitchen....nice and cozy!
Might have to put a jumper on if I venture outside today, it's 0C out there now, don't know what it was last night because my out door sensor is nestled up with dahlia tubers to monitor their temp during their hibernation.
It's not raining!!!! Bliss...

3c here today. Had a coffee at the local shop and in the sunshine it felt quite pleasant. Then the moment the sun started to set it got rather nippy. -3c right now and my Yaris is covered in frost. That is not a euphemism by the way...

my workshop is colder than that, all the time , I swear its the coldest workshop in the world, and at the moment I have so many bikes in (waiting on people collecting their bikes) I have to put them outside, so I can work, which means I have to keep the doors open all the time so I can keep an eye on the bikes, which means I can't even put any heating on - yesterday it never rose above -3 all day inside the workshop, my fingers are still thawing out today ! and I was dyno-ing yesterday, so had 2 80mph cooling fans blasting me in the face, when I got home last night my wife asked why I had rosy cheeks ! - its becuase I've got wind burn from the bloody cold air blast I had for several hours ! - retirement sure looks tempting at the moment !

well I am having a great time at the moment, yesterday I got to work at 12:30 to try and catch up on a few jobs, the power went off at 12:45......FFS, called p[ower company, will be out in the next 3hrs, had to wait about, freezing my tits off, power back on by 17:45hrs, so went home, no point starting anything at that time.
This morning got an alert from my security system telling me the power had gone off again at 05:20, sop called the power comapny, got to work for 06:00hrs, they arrived at 06:45hrs, so not sobad, then spent the rest of the day freezinf my tits off again as the power was on and then off, left at 18:00hrs having done no work and froze........
Can't wait for tomorrow !

I know it's bizarre. Seems like 42c was just a few weeks ago to me. Problem is as this becomes a more regular occurrence people will be installing A/C into their homes. So even more electricity needed...
