Hopefully found all of them. Going to blast them all, fit new windows and piston kits, then paint them.

Would be better powdercoated if selling on, never had any paint last on the front master cylinders for some reason, seems to always start lifting around the gasket seal.

If I ever get my finger out my 4rse I'll see if Cerakote C series is any good for brake fluid 😔

Wow. That's quite a collection. I have three or four to do. I'm going to use 2K on mine. I've not painted anything in 2K that I'm willing to try the paint and brake fluid test on but that's the plan at some point. Shouldn't the latest brake fluids be alright with paint. It's only the DOT 3 stuff that takes paint off isn't it? How much would it cost to have all those powder coated? Would they mask them off properly? Then there's the dropping off/collection or post thing. I've had very disappointing results with powder coaters in the past. I like to do as much as I can myself then I've only myself to blame if it comes out $hit .

I work round the corner from Redditch Shot Blasting. :-)
They do a great job of masking off. Might try a couple out.
Probably need to strip them bare then get them powder coated, then fit new glass and repair kit.

You're doing that many it might be worthwhile you getting yourself a blast cabinet and a compressor if you haven't already got one. My cabinet is one of the orange Chinese ones off Ebay with a bit of modification. I had to upgrade my compressor to keep up with it but fortunately there were a few surplus pumps in a skip at work so It's cost me next to nothing.

I hope no moron with a sharp screwdriver has been trying to lever out the piston in any of those M/cyls. I have a very "low mileage" one that was attacked. Be handy if there was someone set up to re-line M/cyls for all makes. Cant be that difficult to bore and reline?

About half had moving pistons, so hopefully not too bad. I need to get some smaller circlip pliers, as mine are a little too big to get in.

I am very impressed with US Pro stuff. Got some Imperial sockets and spanners from them and they are very well made and a great price too.

Id not blast a master cylinder unless you mask the bore off well, maybe leave the old pistons in and put a bolt in the outlet? Still going to need a good clean up after in a decent washer.
If you do your own powdercoating masking isnt an issue... or perhaps ask the powdercoater if you can do your own masking considering how many youve got to do here? Its fiddly but rewarding. Get em to wipe the black powder off the YAMAHA on the lids as well before they cook em.
Ive had a few of the chinese master cyl windows leak and they will get under PC. There isnt really a great fix for this once it happens of course. Im now thinking the chinese windows need better (EPDM) seals fitting than what comes with em.

There isnt really a great fix for this once it happens of course. Im now thinking the chinese windows need better (EPDM) seals fitting than what comes with em. The media I use is extremely fine, like the sand in an egg timer. I use glass bead and it's probably a bit too fine TBH so it takes longer but it's fine enough to do carbs as it is. i have some vapour blasted cases and it's indistinguishable from them. It's a lot like painting in that it won't touch an area unless you aimed it at that area. Like spraying a bolt hole for instance where you have to try very hard to get the paint to go into the hole. Stray glass bead. Having said that I have just done four calipers, one set each of F2 and 4L0 and I just stuffed the piston bores with blue roll paper. Everything blasted with whatever it's done with should be cleaned out until it's spotlessly clean. I use 125 psi of compressed air and then on aluminium, very hot water. That way the heat in the part evaporates the water. In my opinion a compressor is essential for working on motorbikes. I would be lost without mine.

They look good for the price. Might have to get myself some. I have some universal ones. You can change them from inside to outside but they flex a bit as a result.

Stripped a few down and blasted a few in the aqua blaster.
Any top tips for cleaning the 2nd relief hole out? I cannot even see the hole, so is it tiny or is it going off at an angle?
Found this video for a TDR250 one which looks very similar and that has a tiny hole.

Would love to know what to use..

I think the body will be okay with powder coat, but the original lids have very fine writing on them which may be lost, so may have to use paint on the lids.
