I saw the 'Bomber' tour and couldn't hear properly for 3 days afterwards. Deffo worth it. Alex Saw them on that tour in Birmingham. I have constant low level tinnitus, Motorhead probably contributed, as did the 350LC that was my only transport back then coupled with no ear plugs and a crap lid. Did the 200 mile round trip to see them on the 350LC , fell asleep on the M6 on the way back home. Had rear-sets and drop bars on the LC, the thump from my lid hitting the tank woke me up , doing about 40mph on the hard shoulder. I remember cruising at about 80 in the third lane before that. Rumour was they did structural damage to the foundations of the next venue, think it was Leeds.

There's a clip on You Tube (I think) when the played that gig in Dresden. Lemmy steps up to the mike as they are about to play Bomber and says 'This should sound familiar'. He was a subtle chap...

Riding a bike at motorway speeds without wearing earplugs probably caused the tinnitus that I suffer with.
100+db at 80mph and really low frequency damaging stuff at that. Apparently 3 mins is enough to start causing permanent damage.
I think I've done at least 100k miles without plugs when I was younger.
Plenty of rock concerts and local gigs too, doesn't help but not as sustained as as frequent (daily).
