I want a Triumph Speed Twin or a Thruxton and I have 4 bikes which need to be thinned out to fund the Trumpet
Triumph will be second hand around £6500 to £7500
So what do I cull for the funds
I have my red LC which i have had 10 years on the road now
The yellow Kenny LC which had the Athena on but now reverting back to standard YPVS barrels
2002 Triumph Bonneville which I have done a lot to including 865 barrels and CR35 smooth bores etc
The Buell M2 which has been neglected
Guess the Bonneville and one of the LC's

one of the LCs should raise the funds with the prices at the mo be a tough thing to do tho , but at least you will still have one mart

Yes you are right but the 2002 Bonny would probably become redundant , so 2 out 1 in

Only that I've also been thinking about a Speed Twin.
There's a great cam upgrade that has superb results.

The Buell M2 as youve neglected it anyway and the Bonneville cos no sense having two similar Triumphs.
Keep the LCs, you wont be able to buy them again if they keep going up, while the Triumph will devalue... wont it?

I'd flog the Buell and the Triumph. You've been wanting to sell that B for ages and as mentioned why have 2 Triumphs when you'll only ever ride the new one!

Whatever you do, keep those lovely LC's.
Personally I wouldn't want a Buell at all and if you're replacing the Bonnie with the Thruxton they're really similar, so I'd say these two for the Thruxton.
I love my '66 Bonnie as it's so different to anything, so get the need for a Trumpet!!

Was even watching the video of how to de cat the Thruxton and fit a different cam LOL
Don't think I would do the cam but the X pipe swop looks a good gain and you make it sound throaty without having to change the standard silencers

It's pricing my Bonny then
Had loads done but it is 18 years old !
I tried to turn it into a Thruxton look a like and it has the alloy rimmed Thruxton wheels , seat and seat hump
I sold all the old parts off it so it is what it is
If I list it as a "custom" or "special" then I feel it will put folks off ?
