I wouldn't last long on that with my dodgy back, so hope he's a bit younger and fitter than me. Looks different though so will turn heads.

I wish. Been after a rolling chassis for ages for just such a reason. However this is NOT my bike so she stays standard. Just ordered a new screen though...

Great bike and a superb gesture. Alex is a very lucky guy for sure. I'd love a go on that Mito, reckon it'd be a hoot.
Im with Veg, great to have some young blood on the forum. If we dont pass on some of our excitement and knowledge to anyone younger than us we are wasting our time really. I guess these 'younguns' will be able to hoover up all out bikes for cheap at estate sales LOL Maybe there will be a resurgence of interest in them when they are cheap again... tho I dunno where they will run them in the electric age with Gretas on every corner shouting at them 'Shame on you!' Haha.... I look forward to that and perhaps if one of us lives til 100 and does a Captain Tom people will look at the old pics of that person in his youth with a Elsie (a chip shop snap with them sat on the bike while on its stand trying to look sophisticated with a case of acne lol) and say the bike was cool while having no idea what it was like they do with his Flying Squirrel. Happy days...

They are brilliant bikes. I've had one before, but they need to be the full power one for some serious grin factor. Then you have performance somewhat akin to a 250LC, but with more top end!
Alex
Plus...it's basically a Ducati 916 with a 2 stroke engine, designed by the same bloke.

Oh I forgot to mention Pims bike has got 90 pk. It's totally self made and tuned using lots of cheap Chinese parts that we all grown upon.

Been itching for a ride. New screen turned up and surprise it's the wrong one. Sent that back for the correct item. Ordered new grips to replace those charming gold ones, and off to get some bolts to replace all of the poxy anodised ones, there's a lot of those peppered all over the place. Mudguard is being painted gloss black too. Insuring her tomorrow and screen or not I'm off for a blast...

I'll just say he's a forum member but wishes to remain a silent party. Known him for quite a while and a truly nice bloke. I've worked on some of his bikes in the past and in turn he's donated a shed load of gear my way. It's just karma doing it's usual thing mate.

Should be good weather for the rest of this week mate I was over at Walton for some bolts yesterday. Was up against time, otherwise I would have popped over. Enjoy Dusty

Top tip with P James insurance Dusty. F/C with breakdown cover (handy with a 2 stroke lol) and Euro cover (not that I need it) unlimited miles £109. Reeee...sult. So a blat was duly undertaken. A few fast and twisty roads near me, including my 'max the bugger out' road. What a hoot! As quick as I want to go on a bike, I'd say she goes like a fast 250LC, just handles way better and stops. Off to the same place in Walton tomorrow for some domed allen bolts to replace the ghastly gold ones!
