Ypvs in M10 x 40 LC I thought was M10 x 35, but the parts manual says 55mm?! 28 lbsft or 38nm according to Haynes!

Just my two pennith worth, but I rarely look up the size of a bolt.
Measuring everything is IMO a much better way.
Take a suitable M10x1.25 bolt screw it into each hole in the case by hand until it just bottoms out. Measure the protruding bit and take it away from overall length.
Then measure tie bar bush thickness and any flat and spring washers your likely to use and work out the length needed (taking a mm or so off).
I do this to get maximum engagement and therefore strength with any bolt hole. This helps to stop threads being pulled in aluminium through frequent use or overtightening.
I must admit I have the luxury of a lathe and often turn bolts down to any length, not just multiples of 5mm.
