hi guys the little rubber oring that goes with the clip to secure the cable to the oil pump thru the casing above the casing or inside underneath before the clip goes on

Well shit. I’ve been doing it wrong for years!!’ I put the O-ring on the top as I always though it was a seal to stop water and dirt getting down by the cable. Learn something new every day

The drawing shows the o ring before the clip (outside to stop water ingress)

Well all the seemingly untouched engines I’ve pulled apart the o ring was inside Makes more sense to be outside though 🥴
