Hello Gents, I have fitted the oil pump to my project (Ypvs motor) and connected the cable, i didn't notice the spring had popped out of the hole and unwound itself, bugger! So, can i coil it round in situ? If so how many turns? I can pop the pump off if easier to do it. Many thanks, Andy.

Just do it in situ I don’t think you can go wrong with the turns

Cheers, I'll give it a go tomorrow, i think it's only half a turn after looking at other posts. Andy.

That's correct. From rest you just move it towards the hole. If you go an extra turn the pulley will not go fully open because the spring will jam up.
