Me again. Haynes shows a hex nut ( cap ) to unscrew from top of fork leg that has the air valve on it . Mine has an air valve fixed to a flat plate with no means of unscrewing it . How does this come out from the top of fork leg ? Thanks

push down. remove circlip.
Sounds easy, but is actually often a real pain without an extra pair of hands..

Haha, glad it worked. I wish I had actually patented it I might one day get rich lol The beauty is that the socket protects the shrader valve from damage and if you chose the right one from your set you can easily get the clip out.

If only I had handlebar clamps.... Yes not perfect for the 85 on models, but defo good for earlier. You could use a spare early ypvs top triple when the forks are off the bike to do this tho, the early tops fit the later forks etc

FZR 250 Yokes. I managed with the use of my woodworking vice and a small clamp.
