I was considering painting my own bodywork to match my tank but the colour isnt simple... its the JDM metallic/pearl off white.
Has anyone ever found a car paint colour that is a close match? Im expecting some kind of Mazda or Toyota might be close?

I thought someone on here (might have been the old forum) had mentioned a Lexus white was close, I think the hard/clever part was in the lacquer tint (either blue or red) as the number of layers and thickness will have an effect on the overall colour too. I painted a 31K belly pan a few years ago and found it all quite a pain to source all the colours/base/lacquer etc. I spent a good while in my local suppliers going through swatches etc. I've done a few home paintjobs now, and they do get better each time, although my first attempt wasn't too bad, (if I say so myself) and judging by your garage art thread, you shouldn't have much trouble either. Just did a quick search and it only seem like me mentioning it, so you can probably disregard that then

Saw a mention of “Ford Diamond White” on here a few days ago.
Was the 4U0 and 4L3 white a different color than the 4L0 and 4L1 white?
Eager for an answer as I’m in the process of bringing a 4U0 back from s#!tty speed blocks to proper OEM livery

Jim, thats a normal white LC. The JDM is a pearl almost champagne colour. You wont want it on your normal white LC.
Bott, too funny the last line. But I hear you as thats why I suggested Toyota as I think its the same colour. Thanks for you kind words about my ability too.

I've toyed with a couple for lc2's
Yes Toyota have a nice looking pearl as do Nissan. Seen it on X trails
Think most manufacturers have nice pearl whites now, even ford

In the November edition of Practical Sportsbikes there is a Ducati part painted with Lancia Pearlescent white. I can,t comment on the match but it might be worth a look.

Volkswagen Oryx White may be worth a look too. It's a pearlescent, but may not be "champagne" enough for a close match.
