I say stick with it. Get the bike in the house if you can where it's comfy and warm and work on it at your leisure, perhaps enjoying a glass of red or 6. You've obviously thrown a lot of money at the bike already, no point in selling at a vast loss then finding out your next bike is even worse!

If money or space isn’t an issue put it on the back burner until spring.

If money or space isn’t an issue put it on the back burner until spring. But that's when you'll more likely want to start riding it. If you have a garage and a heater, what's better than doing a bit at a time during this time of the year?

So after a week of muttering about the bike I have decided to let it hang aorund a little longer in the hope that inspiration returns - we shall see.
Thanks to all for your thoughts on the subject.

Like with working out at a gym for example, you can't beat meeting up with a like minded mate for inspiration etc. Shame that we don't all live a stones throw apart,...the next best thing is to start a 'build thread' post pictures and get some ideas/encouragement that way.

If you need a manual I’m sure I have a spare one. 👍

I was looking to an instant rider in the spring, but don’t now mind the idea of some work left to do. On the offchance I’m lucky enough to get something really close then any work may well be minimal. When I do go touting for one though, for once in my life I will be prepared to wait for the right one, not for too long though .
