Hi all,
after some advice please. Restoring a 350 LC, i have the new discs from Norbo (thank you) and now just trying to decide which type of bolts to use?
Looks like the ones that came off the bike were stainless, but i think the originals were black or olive green, not sure. Any thoughts of the best route to go here?
Trying to put most parts back as standard as far as i can, but just wondering if replacing with stainless is the better way to go?
Thank you.....

Thanks thats great! Another question please, does anyone know the pitch of the thread for these bolts? i am looking to replace probably with stainless hex head bolts, and the ones for sale in sets etc are saying 1.25mm thread, M8 x 30mm. Can anyone confirm that this is the correct thread pitch please? Reason i ask is that i have a bolt that is M8 x 1.25mm thread and it does not easily go the full distance into the thread on the wheel? Thank you

a lot of the NOS bits and pieces fowlers supply is different to the original stuff ; I bought the clips from fowlers that secure the brake pipes to the fork legs ; when they turned up they were black not chrome

Yes these are standard pitch M8 bolts so 1.25 as you say, I think they had threadlock as standard, so possibly your replacements have been threadlocked in as well, can you run a tap through to clean it up?

Hi LC Bott, thanks for confirming this. i have just gently ran an M8 tap into one of the holes, and now of course the bolt will tighten up to the disc. I just wanted to be sure that i had exactly the correct pitch thread on the bolt before doing this. That is a good point you make about threadlock, the threads could have a residue of thread lock inside the threads, making it difficult for the bolt to tighten up. Thank you

Thank you OEM LC disc bolts are not secured with threadlock as they are fitted with tab washers. OEB

Correct as usual OEB, forgot about the tabs, perhaps thinking about the YPVS allen type.
