hi all im swaping my yokes for some modern ones the bearing sizes are the same but the stem is about a inch longer. my question or questions are if i simple use a 1 inch spacer below the bottom bearing would a 1 inch bolt be to long to act as lock stops ie to flexable or do i grind the weld off the bottom of the stem and push it through the bottom yoke a inch cut off the surplus and reweld it many thanks for now scooter

Stem swap would be best. Cant you get the stem from the standard yokes and weld them into the new ones ? Would look and work much better that way. An inch long spacer under the bearing sounds excessive Dusty

Ive fitted fazer 600 yokes twice now which were 20mm or so longer
Got a machine shop to cut the bearing section and the threaded top 20mm further down the stem then cut 20mm off
Depends on the stem shape

Making a new stem is easier and cheaper.

Hi all I don't think the original stem will work dusty 350 as the new top yoke is thicker so lack of thread and the centre hole would need a bush I might look into the cutting the thread like midlife crisis said if that's not a option then I will have to drop it through the bottom yoke and reweld it
