I used spirit of salts ( drain cleaner) it dissolves the alloy leavings the steel on the liner www.dropbox.com/s/o4y2qq9ndbkvpi1/image0.jpeg?dl=0dabbed it on with a cotton bud and watched the alloy bubble then washed it off took about half an hour to clean up a cylinder

wouldn't put brick acid anywhere near bores, HCl and steel don't like each other

these guys do them --> www.pacehigh.co.uk/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIt5W_vpez5QIVUEHTCh2uAwgyEAAYASAAEgIK5fD_BwE not cheap mind, I've used ball honers for years, but recently got some new honers which work really well - whereabouts are you, if your close by, just pop round and I'll hone them for you Using brick acid is fine to dissolve the ali, just be sure as stated to wash it off quickly and then coat the bores in oil

Seriously? Order/wait for the US made Ball hone. Care is selecting correct size though, It Works 'exactly' as claimed ie; perfectly. Only caveat being: follow instructions and Only use it for the specified number of seconds. More is not better. Bit of an annoyance that few seconds of actual use.. after having to wait interminably for delivery though.
