Previous owner at some stage must have thought it a great idea to paint/powdercoat the swingarm with the bushes still in place.
I've managed to chip the (overly thick) paint off of the edge of the bushes, but they won't budge. I've been using a drift from inside to try to shift the bushes - no movement. I've also used a heat gun, which make the paint bubble nicely, but does nothing to release the bushes either. Tempted to try forceful power tools next.... Any ideas on shifting the bushes out? I have new phosphor bronze items arriving soon.

Blind bearing puller and a little heat will move them
Just had to use the same method

Do you know what size you used? My set seems to go up in 5mm steps - 20mm too small, 25mm too big!

I use a Torpedo 7 set, good incremental sizes
got every bearing and bush out of the engine, wheels and swingarm
Surprising how easy it was to do

I think they are 24mm outside diameter.
If your really that stuck I could make you a drift with 18mm for half of it and 24mm the other half.

I have the same issue and a member of the AC club sent me this - brilliant.
I think I will use a piece of screwed rod and spacer to jack it out slowly.
Get a thick metal washer or disc that is has OD just a bit smaller than the bush's OD.
Remove material from the circumference at 2 places, to create parallel flats that are just small enough to fit through the bush's ID.
Put it between the bushes, flattened up against one of them and use a bar to tap out.

Mine were solid, i ended up running weld round the inside, which obviously generates lots of heat and gives you something to use a long drift on, from the other side of the arm...

Had to re-read that a couple of times to understand - I'll see if I can find a suitable washer....
In the meantime, I have ordered a more 'comprehensive' bearing extractor set. Mine doesn't seem deep enough to get below the bushes, so I'm trying to get them to grip in the grove part way up the bush.
There's also absolutely no grease in the swingarm due to the PO powder-coating the entire thing, including the grease nipple!
