Im not sure what a 'Banshee conversion' is, but plenty of info on Athena on here, play with the search.
I did a Primer article on my website about big bores if youre interested, its under 'upgrades' on 2smoke.com

If by banshee, you mean OEM, then donβt bother.

A Banshee conversion would involve adding two more wheels. Might as well buy a car tbh.

Forget banshee, as said its just a variation fitted to a quad, but it shares the bottom end with a ypvs, which you do want, then you can add the top end of your choice, but that alone require careful planning, as each has pros and cons, Athena, cheetah, cub, plus then on top of that dedicated exhausts for the stubs, bigger carbs to feed the motor, programmable ignitions to get the best out of it ..... Look at some of the build threads for an idea of what works well, and the cost involved, good thing is that a good few on here have gone down this route, and all with gladly give good advise.
If I could find a decent priced bottom end I'd consider it myself.

Pretty sure the banshee has closer gears which will obviously make it accelerate a lot more aggressively, may not be a bad thing, depends on what you want π€

I'm doing just the Athena top end so a 392 conversion Nearing the end now so no experience at all on it running LOL
But I do find it baffling how many folks have had theirs and then you hear nothing about what they are like on the road etc !
I think they must be a pain in the arse to ride as no one comes on and says they f##kin rip and couldn't stop myself laughing everytime I take it out LOL

Message Dave (muttsnutts), he has experience of building such conversions, and one of his was recently featured in practical sportsbikes magazine, with a test feature, he will be able to let you know what they are like to live with.

I'll let you know , warts and all but you may have to wait a bit as I'm doing a super slow build ! Plus weather is on the turn
One thing I'm worried about is the traction out the powerband and how much of a lull/flat spot before the band kicks in
There was someone who had a 421 on the road and didn't like it all and prefered a tuned YPVS engine which can make nearly 70 BHP
Here's a link

My RS421 runs a mixed gearbox, works well, but its due an overhaul now, nowt to do with the mixed setup, more to do with the abuse its had both on the road and the dyno !
