Hi all. Is there any way to get a key made if you have not got one. The seller lost it many moons ago.

I would just replace the ignition, they are very cheap.
What model of bike is it?

If it's an LC or LC2 check on the alloy part on the bottom of the ignition switch
They used to have the key number embossed in them
Ok as long as the switch hasn't been key matched
Search eBay for yamaha key from code

I’ve never had much luck obtaining the correct blank.
Even if you can get the right one, by the time you’ve bought 2 blanks and had them cut you could have bought a new switch I would have thought?

If you get a new ignition it's not too difficult to match the key to the cap and seat lock. Or maybe easier and cheaper to buy a new petrol cap and match the others to that key?

You need to strip the locks to do it
There is a guy called Simon wells (kateannwells On ebay) who will offer this service if you send him mismatched locks

have a gander on youtube and have a go yourself and ask us on here to help if you get stuck.
I work on this principal : They say you can give a man a bottle of water and he'll drink today, teach him how to dig a well and he'll drink the rest of his life etc.
