Unfortunately Steve I am so busy with work I haven’t been able to even register the bloody bike yet, let alone get it ran in so Dave can do the pipes. As soon as I can I will. Are you stalking me? 😁

A few weeks ago i played taxi using the landy to take everyone to the pub. When the people were climbing into the back of the tub i was calling out "All aboard the Skylark" i didn't think to much about it until we went home.they were all a bit drunk and kept repeating "All aboard the Skylark" and kept making Ivor the engine noises. All the Belgium people that saw us looked a bit perplexed.
My favourite was The Clangers.

How did you get pictures of my childhood armoury ..Hi, I thought all of on here would have had these as "toys" when we were younger, not forgetting this too. binged.it/2LFHdJfThe Gat was wank so was the Airsporter, just too heavy, and crap! And didn't hide as well as a break barrel, my HW80 could bring an angry buffalo down.. if you used it as a club. At school one day, a chum brought his Relum Tornado in to school and at "playtime" we were in the bogs firing darts that we managed to load into it, at the toilet doors whilst enjoying a roll up each... In walks the metalwork teacher and a bollicking ensues..... But his last words were " I'll have that! And you can pick it up after closing time"

Hi, Yes, the Gat was indeed wank, but I disagree about the BSA Airsporter. Why would you want to hide your air rifle, were you up to something dodgy with it ? If I had taken an air gun to the school, or done anything dodgy with it, my father would have taken it off me and I,d have never seen it again. Same with the smoking thing, he would have broke my legs if he caught me smoking, even though my mother and father both smoked. I didn't start smoking till I was 25 ! I used to regularly get sent to the shop for 20 Senior Service for my dad (nae filters) or 20 Silk Cut for my mum, not every time, but some times, they gave me extra money and said "get yourself a sweetie for going." My dad used talk of when he was wee, and got sent to the shop, he was told to nip down to the shop on his "Gur" and get whatever it was he was sent for. My dads Gur used to hang in the garage for years, I dont know where it went either. Anyone else remember a Gur ? and after reading the link below, a Peerie came to mind too, thats still a regularly used word, ie "Luk at yon, its burrlin like a peerie." :-) Steven. www.sorbie.net/childrens_games.htm

The Airsporter Mk1 and Mk2 were far superior to the 70s version I bought new, nothing but problems. First thing that went was trigger mechanism, it was fixed twice. It was cheap compared to the other two, even the "blueing" was garbage.
