I'm sure I can see a Smurf hiding behind it. Remember a lecture by our head master around 1982 about the dangers of magic mushrooms lol.

Did my first trip with older brother, 5 yrs older he thought it was hilarious, i was on crutches at the time, motor cycle accident and used a skateboard to get around on, tripping whilst skating never again.

Magic mushrooms,Psilocybin, are a hallucinogenic fungi, they look like the the empty acorn cups, generally brown in colour with a thin stem
None of the pictures above look like them, they are a lot smaller
they are a mind altering drug, in our southwest they are a sought after mushroom, still illegal to take and the cops stake out the only bit of forest where they grow
play with them if you dare, but be aware they can do some serious harm to you
and no, i haven't tried them
A general rule of thumb is that if you cant peel the skin off the top of the fungi it is not edible

These are the ones we get here: Psylocibin Cubensis. Very common and easy to find in cow pastures out near the coast. Small dose is quite fun, big dose gets pretty heavy, Man.

Not illegal to eat shrooms but illegal to brew or dry them, brewing or drying them alters the chemical so they are less potent. Magic mushrooms are small and pointy.

These are the other type we have here in the Pacific NW USA. Psilocybe semilanceata "Liberty Caps". These are they type you have in the UK, and the picture caption says these were snapped in Monmouthshire, Wales.

Yep, ate a bunch of those once back in the 80's... ...never again Was fun for a while but then realised it ain't nice not being in control and the trip went on far too long Steve

Dooh

That was the problem I had
Coming clean I was in 4th year at high school.
Necked some at lunchtime for a laugh and thought it was fine and a bit of a giggle
Trying to style it out having dinner with my parents wasn't easy. My mashed potato was talking to me 😱
Then eat twice as many washed down with half a bottle of wine
Was a laugh out with my mates but when back home and in my room it freaked me out a bit
The pattern on the duvet covered the floor, ceiling and walls and as I breathed the walls went out and in
Never touched them again

I generally eat a little a few times a year.
Always when off for a weekend camping in the woods with the boys and never in town, around the family or kids.
Can be great fun and quite liberating, but can go sideways quickly if the environment or vibes aren't right.
Most recently was on a dirtbike camping trip in Idaho a few months ago.
51 years old this year ... I'll grow up someday (maybe).

... and furthermore, just heard on the radio during my morning commute there is a law on the ballot to legalize the use of Psylocibin Mushrooms in my home state of Oregon.
Weed is already practically free and available everywhere here, and now legal ‘shrooms?!?
My teenage self would be in heaven
