Jessy said brake light switch not brake light so is the brake light switch wire good to go ?

Jessy said brake light switch not brake light so is the brake light switch wire good to go ? that is still fed from lighting fuse, you are better taking the switched live coming back from the ignition switch and fitting an inline fuse between that feed and the unit, that way unless the main fuse blows (in which case the whole bike is dead) it will always run even if one of the auxillary circuits blows a fuse e.g. lights, horn, indicators etc

I use the rear brake switch... I carry spare fuses as a matter of course so never worried about it.

Lol, anywhere with an ignition switch fed power feed. Before the fuse in the fuse box if you wish, but remember to fit an in line fuse. Otherwise after a fuse and run the risk of a fuse blowing-but, how many times has the fuse blown in your red hybrid? I fitted mine after the fuse to save fitting another fuse in the wiring, but I used self resetting fuses not that I ever had a fuse go whilst out on the bike. Ian

Half a job Harrys you lot 🤣 Do it right or we'll confiscate your tools Separate fuse is best. Easy to buy a blade type holder. It even fits in one of the redundant connector holders If you can't use a multimeter and a soldering iron you shouldn't be fitting a programmable ignition system 😜 Steve

i think i read in the zeeltronic info that the red 12v feed is not needed when the bike is running . only needed to power the programing unit without the motor running. mark

Can anyone confirm this as I thought that if you say had a flat battery you couldn't start the bike with the Zeel fitted ?

Mine started at the weekend with a dead battery, took 5-6 kicks, it’s the V model not the VT though. Jess

My Zeel ignition system uses a capacitor and no battery, it has to be bump started as it doesn't have a kick start. This works as well. The Zeel is a PDCI-23
