I think you mean Nitride instead of Nitrade. To be more precise Titanium Nitride.
A few places do it, but I’d be more interested in service than the ability to do it.

Do Brooks actually do all the services they offer in house or are they just middle men🤔. ??

Sorry yeah meant nitride coating ,brooks and Firefox are the only two i have come across not sure if either do in house ,that's why wondering if any one that's used this service could recommend, tbh its more for the look than the performance and brooks susp tell me unless the stanchions are in excellent condition they would need rechroming first, there are what I would call a small amount of pin marks ,( not surprising on 35 year old forks)so could prove to be an expensive look.

Merely curious: Why? the perceived need to Spend large on what are actually fairly Crap forks onna LC.. Too thin, consequently wiggly every time one uses the brakes... the meanest ones yama fitted for many years. One could upgrade to Valvie forks or more moderne ones or If an Anorak about authenticity..simply buy rechromed LC legs from Norbo.

Why,good question, just want to improve the look of the front end ,apologies meant to say ,have 31k forks and yokes on ,and yes the cost over the gain is why I haven't done it yet, seen a set of forks with gold nitride stanchions and black lowers and it looked really good ,cost wise I could probably justify £245 for nitride but if they have to be rechromed first £165 then yes it becomes cost prohibitive ,could go for usd forks but really want to keep original wheels ,if there a usd front end that lets me retain front wheel I would go that route ,,but haven't seen any conversions that front wheel is retained obviously using donor wheel allows for much better tyre choice .

It is indeed less static friction ,I use to race supermoto ,two bikes one factory husaberg 570 with nitride and one 550 with chrome stanchions difference was small but noticeable more fluidity in forks, but as I say on this project more for look .

Personally, on Lc forks, I would leave them the standard hard chrome finish. There is no real performance advantage on a set of Lc/Pv forks imo. You would be better off spending money on a thorough overhaul of what you have. They are 35 year old forks, and an expensive coating of Nitride isn't gonna make a lot of difference I think. Plus I don't think it looks quite right on an Lc, but as ever, it's your bike, do what makes YOU happy Dusty
