Hi there everyone im on the hunt for an old mead speed single seat that i had on my first 250 lc ..and id like one for my rd250lc that i have now . i have spoken to meed speed and they no longer have the mould for it so im hoping one of you has one you want to sell . i only have a very blury pic from an old mead speed advert, so if anyone can help with better pics even that would be great . the unit was a direct replacement for the std seat and used the std grab rail and mounts to fix it . does anyone have a better pic of one or even have a seat they want to sell me

Are you talking about the direct replacement seat unit? I sold one another 10 years ago and from memory someone still made them. I think Nigel OEB knows more than me.

This was what I was thinking about it was ard which I think was Armstrong racing design Think they did a seat unit on its own, think Matt is closer to what you want. Cheers steely helped my old brain

thanks to Drag-strip hero i managed to get this one on ebay ,,, its only half of the seat as it came from meadspeed but its a start . im sure i can fabricate the seat base and padding but will keep looking for a complete seat . would still like pics of one fitted to a bike .i did come across one ,but didnt save the pic at the time and cant find the post now ..the post was regarding another member looking for his old bike that had been a track bike , and the new owner has it as a hybrid .if that jogs any memories .
