What is the easiest way to get these pesky tab washers bent over the nuts as it always seems feckin awkward to me
Also removing them, what's the best method ?

The new washers have a section slightly bent over so you can get a big driver under the corner and lever it over
Then some gland pliers to fold over before a final tap if needed with a hammer and cold chisel
To get the bolts off I have a driver filed to a knife edge to pry under them.
After that a rattle gun loosens easily or a flattened bit of copper pipe jamming the primary gears then a socket.

Silly question but what are gland pliers ?
When I did the 2002 Bonneville's clutch basket, it had a bevel washer like the one that goes on the LC's primary drive , so is a tab washer on the clutch basket old hat now ?

Glad.d pliers/water pump pliers π I'll get a pic lol
The old aircooled were levelled, they moved onto the tab.
Talking of tabs I had to buy 3 tabs and 6 nuts for a 1kt sprocket carrier yesterday
Fecking Β£30 π€¬

Clutch centre nut on YPVS says 65ft pounds while the LC manual says 54 ft pounds
So is the higher one for the YPVS correct or a typo !

LOL, not those damn Channel Locks again ...
... anyway, just a note that the tab washers from Shambits are twice the thickness of the gen Yam ones and are a right b@stard to get folded over.
That is all.

The trick is to bend the locking tab slightly up before you fit it.
