Definite difference there antos. You could try adjusting the mixture a bit leaner on the "wet" side which hopefully will sort it but there a few other things to consider too. I cannot quite see from the pics but I will assume both plugs are the same grade? If you are running too rich on one side, are the float heights the same on both sides and neither is leaking past the float valve (a bit of grit in the float valve) Both needles in the slides at the same height too and located in the same circlip groove No leaks from any of the pipes or in let rubbers If the plug is oiling it might be a problem with piston rings or the oil pump itself (compression check?) Burning too much oil on one side (RHS) might also indicate crank seal leaking on primary side. Sorry to throw a load of negative suggestions and hopefully it will just be a 1/8 turn of the mixture screw but I thought I would give you a few other things to think about while diagnosing. I am sure others will have a few ideas too John

Fair difference there. Maybe worth checking for air leaks on dry side. I prefer to run on the rich side, so my plugs are always dark chocolate colour not caramac :-)

The mixture screw mainly affects small throttle settings. I think it is called a Pilot Air screw on LCs, so may not affect fuelling at bigger throttle openings. Get it on a dyno with gas analyser to check fuelling at different throttle settings.

Hi john Thanks for the suggestions π itβs done 2.5k since a full rebuild and I did have a faff on at first with the float height so could be that, new carb rebuild kit from norbs needles the same, plugs same. think Iβll try and weaken the mixture a tad on that pot (generator side) and see what happens π

Just like Rob mentioned. I would be looking at the dry side. It looks like it might be too rich at small throttle openings and too lean at large openings. I don't like the white ring on the very outer edge of the centre electrode.

this any better lads? Took carbs off redid float heights 21mm with gasket fitted needles in middle and 1/8th of a turn richer on dry plug. Thanks

Im abit confused with this i was told to read plugs from the colour of the last part of the thread which in this case its sooty so would indicate rich wouldn't it? Dont mean to confuse things more! Neil

I see you show the plugs in the garage. How did you do your plugchop?

I did always look at the porcelain years ago but recent years read the thread is where to read which will indicate piston crown colour?
