What can I use for attaching the stator to the cases ? Could I use Allen bolts or maybe low profile ones or does anyone have the part number for genuine ?

Just not sure how much gap there is when you fit flywheel The plate isn't adjustable like LCS so once on it doesn't need adjusting for the timing

If you want genuine Yam, the bolt is 97024 06020. Fowlers have them at 91p each. Washers are 90201 06042. £1.61 each, in stock too. Dusty

Might have to buy 3 standard springs then !
LC manual says 34.9mm free length but YPVS book says 36.4mm ! Thought they were the same
So any aftermarket ones (heavy Duty types) would need to be LC or YPVS specific but not both ?
Just to be square I have
34.50 32.81 35.38 34.28 42.38 42.26 41.78 42.44 35.22 35.55 34.74 35.41
So according to that , they are good for the bin !

Just cross referenced an Lc and Pv F2 parts fiche. Different part numbers for the clutch springs between bikes, so they are different. Dusty

If you want to check spring rates, put 2, end-end, in a vice and slowly squeeze, the lighter one will close up 1st.

Just ordered some EBC heavy duty springs and the bloke said they measured 36mm even though they are advertised for LCS YPVS and RD 400 !
So just need 3 standard ones now

The last time I spent ages staffing around with a weight and measuring the compression. Should have said, stick a 2p or washer or something between them as well, rather than trying to get the coils lined up exactly. I had a bag full, some were supposed to be HD ones, but all mixed up, so I just graded them from light to heavy & chose the ones I wanted. In the end I think I settled on lightest springs, but the meatier plates, from the big diesels, and all is well. Don't want a heavy pull, the T140 used to kill my hand in traffic.

Bloke used to come to the local meets on a hybrid and had 6 heavy duty springs on a stubby clutch lever and you could hardly pull it in 😱
