Hi Was wondering what you'd use to seal the joint between the end can and expansion chamber flange. I have Lomas pipes with Gibson cans and they've sprayed oil from the joint for a while now (not badly). Took off the cans today and was surprised to see no gasket or sealant of any kind, even though they were assembled by a pipe manufacturer and not myself. Was thinking Threebond on the mating surface and on the 2 retaining studs, but the 1184 which I have will withstand up to 150 degrees C. Is that enough, or am I better off using a car exhaust assembly paste? Or maybe cut out a thick paper gasket for a neater job?
Thanks.

I've used threebond, and hasn't leaked so far, put it on all surfaces before fitting, never thought about the temp range. Bathroom sealant worked on my car exhaust just fine too

Cheers guys. Looks like Threebond, paper gaskets or that Envirograf stuff will do the job just fine.
