Bit different from the most popular threads. Seems to me just by scanning eBay and the tinter web the least loved ones seem to be the 125A/B, 350A/B and 200DX, I'm aware the Brazilian RDLC isn't loved much either that I can understand but not the latter ones. Anyone got any reasons why ?

I like the Brazilian ones, I had one and it was fine for 30,000 miles, until I mistakenly PX'd it for a Ducati...
I think the fairing is a step up from the Jap ones, and the motor was fine, once the mods for rubbish S American fuel were removed.
Of the 250/350s I dislike the 31Ks most, but not the LC2, which I also had one of.

For me it's the 50's
Simply down to the fact that I'd never own or even want to ride one due to my lardy ads and it's lack of go
Even at 16 50 I played around on was boring π΄
At 17 my dt80mx got boring after a few months. Nothing a bore kit didn't sort out π

There was nothing fundamentally wrong with the 350R, it wasnt wrose built than any other RD, just that the other new bikes of the time were better.
The twin headlight fairing looks huge in the pictures but not in real life, it looks fine on the FZRs etc. its the same with pics of the 500, it looks huge and lardy, but in real life its much smaller than you'd think as its 350 sized.
Yamaha didnt do them selves any favours fitting the twin headlight fairing to the R but as an RD its a fine bike. Its just a prime example that you should quit while youre ahead... or at least at a same point, like 1992. lol

Is there really a least loved RD? I bet whoever owns a 350R is chuffed to bits with it. I think they are all great, even the little 50's. But then I am a bit biased lol.

Shush, Dont tell anyone, but I'd quite like one... a proper one from Japan, built back in the old days and a barn find. Sadly it wouldnt be allowed to be registered here, but id still like to have one in my collection...

Yes I've always liked the idea of owning one of them, but would need a purpose built shed for that one slightly 'top heavy' I'm thinking.
