I think that's about right IF you go by ebay prices for the parts to make that rolling chassis. Seems mad but add up the parts and you'll spend that easily I reckon Dusty

+1 if everything on it is totally mint. The cable tied on clocks are a bit of a worry... Alex

Just needs a set of pedals. Should be very economical to run.

I know we come back to the old adage, it’s worth what someone will pay for it. I am firmly in the camp of it ain’t worth £3,000. If it was a standard rolling chassis just needing a motor slipping in, them £2000 maximum. As it is, £1750 is what I would expect to pay. However, if those in the know on here say it’s worth it, maybe it is and I am just being a tight wad.

I get the discussion around the parts prices, however my build owes me in the region of 15 large due to parts prices etc I ain’t ever gonna see that returned. I sold my last pv/lc/rgv in 08 for £3500 that was a recently built properly painted and finished bike. I know I’m being unrealistic but it’s gone mad.

It's been "mad" for a long time, but the last few years have seen parts prices rise steeply. The popularity of hybrids has meant the donor parts to make them have gone through the roof, price wise. I neither like that fact or agree with it, but it's a fact ! I build hybrids, and the last thing I want is high parts prices, but it's become the norm to a certain extent . If you were to buy all the parts in that rolling chassis individually, from ebay, I reckon it would cost you close to 3k. You gotta hope that all the parts are serviceable too, otherwise it's gonna cost even more ! Dusty

I know dusty, I’m still trying to get my head round £3k for a chassis that’s bound to need work, bearings, seals, paint etc etc The longest I have been without an lc or pv was 2008 to 2015. I begrudged paying £2400 for my Austrian import with 20,000 in 2015 I look back and think had I known I’d have bought another and a 31k at the same time. Sadly the genuine enthusiast is being adversely effected by speculation by collectors and by and large dealers who seem to pluck bloody prices out of the air and then double them setting precedents that every bugger jumps on. Baah humbug (did I mention I’m 50 in a couple of months and officially can be a cantankerous old git legitimately).

ive been lucky with my buys over the years got 2 ypvs that I picked up an original one for 900 and other modified for 1200 and spent couple of years looking for an lc and was chatting to mate of mine few years back 2010 who was just after picking up an lc and he wanted ypvs so we done a swap and I got my lc and he got his ypvs And only for some members on this site I wouldn't have gotten some of the parts I needed to put my ypvs and lc back to standard I sold and traded some stuff that I didn't need to get bits that I needed happy days

I was just thinking of listing my Hybrid project as I can't see me finding the time to finish it. I thought around £3k, but if that's £3k then I better think again.

Exactly Dave I cannot see 3k in it at all even if the parts sold separately might fetch in that region. You would have to be mentally ill to pay £3k
