I didnt used to like them back in the day as if you had the choice between 1 and a MK2 125 its the 125 every time . But im quite envious that you have 2 such nice 80lc;s now . they are lovely .

They look stunning, what made you do two NOS builds, it's hard enough doing one Are you moving them both on, or keeping one? Got a German 80 myself, done nothing with it yet, apart from seeing it runs and rides ok.

Got a German 80 myself, done nothing with it yet, apart from seeing it runs and rides ok. Good question, about 25years ago my mate told me of the blue one, it was together and running but it was very poor. I bought it for about £120 I think stripped and boxed it. I thought when I get time and some money I’ll sort it. 15 years passed I decided I’ll get it done walked into my Yamaha dealer to sort the parts and you guessed it he laughed and said you’re be lucky. So I spent the next years getting whatever I could get. To be honest even if I didn’t want it I still got it, on the hunt I bought another 3 Rd80lc’s yes I still have two complete bikes here in boxes. Once you go digging around it surprisingly what you find. I did the two because I wanted both the colours, I’m not planning to sell them and to be honest I would probably not get the money back what Iv put into them and I didn’t do them to sell. Not sure what I’m going to do with the other two yet.
