Hi there, My long term F1 has a lot of vertical play in these joints.
I've not stripped them down before, so, which bush do I need to replace to eliminate this play? Is it the BUSH 90386-18136 ? The Nylon one? Also I guess I will need the two oil seals.
Does the swingarm have to be taken out to replace them? Not a big deal, I can put it back on the lift.
Cheers.

You will need two bushes and two oil seals I found when I did mine that the doglegs had been machined So the new bushes I bought didn’t fit anyway Managed so source some good used ones My swing arm was out of the bike at this point which is easier as you will need to press/pull the bushes in

Check what condition the dog legs are in
A lot of time they are all chewed up so new bushes don't solve the problem
Remember you need to remove at least 1 exhaust to get the lower bolt out the H link
Bike will need a stand/suspended as back end will drop

Should have said yes it's possible to do with the swinger in the bike
As long as the bushes aren't bronze and stuck the feckin Bugger in
Can you tell this has happened to me 🙁

+1 for all of the above
I have just replaced mine which were nylon and they came out quite easy however the swinger was off the bike. Used a threaded rod with nuts and washers to pull the new ones in - easy job.
As Steve says, the bushing surface on my dogleg link arms were absolutely shot and would have destroyed the new nylon bushes in no time. I sourced a good used set from a mate but new repro ones are available from NK in different lengths too if you want to adjust the height of the back end.
Norbo does replacement bushes and seals both pattern and gen Yam if you need them

Cheers for the tips. I'll strip it down before ordering anything I have a feeling the tie rods will be shot too, lots of stuff has been so far.
