Well chaps the old Halfords car/bike battery charger has died a death today just when I needed it most. I do the usual and that my battery is going dead before charging LOL. Any recommendations for a super shit hot battery charger?

I use C tek, you can fit a dongle onto the bike and just plug it in when not using, it keeps the battery topped up
saves loosening the tank to fit on the crocodile clips
it also has a useful reconditioning mode that has brought dead batteries back to life

Not a recommendation but I'm still using the same four amp/hour charger that I bought from Freemans catalogue when I was 15. Wonder whether a new charger bought today will last forty years

If you need optimate style charging (I have a few of those as well) just use a simple timer plug, 30 mins a day should keep a battery up during winter.

Thanks for the recommendations guys. Went for the NOCO 7200. wires attachments clamps etc are all really solid and well made. Doddle to use and you can get the little terminal connectors for your bikes to plug into. A little dearer than say a datatool charger but the accessories are dirt cheap imo. There’s also a little Canbus connector you can buy (£10) so you can charge the car through the ciggy lighter. Revived my ‘dead’ battery very quickly so would recommend highly. Not cheap at 90 quid but well made and 5 year warranty. Happy days 😀
