The original 31k has a speed sensor in clock. It gives a signal to the auto cancelling turn module. This module is missing on my bike. I am wondering if one of you is using it. I am not missing it. So i am at the point to cut the plug of. This cleans the loom a little bit after installing an igni.

The default time to cancel assumes you are flat in top !!!! You now know how to adjust your riding style :-)

It is handy if you forget to switch the indicators off, so you don't look like a tw4t riding for miles with the indicators flashing...

Back in the day I seem to remember that it only worked well if you activated the signal at the correct distance away from the turn you wanted to take. Due to having a German built LC now, which doesn't have that box of tricks on the wiring, I can't say.

Spent a great deal of time making sure the system worked on my white N1 resto.. It works faultlessly and is great. If you indicate at the right time approaching a turn I find it turns off just after I've turned..
We'd all be moaning if our cars didn't self cancel their indicators.. Well, apart from BMW drivers......

I recently read something about a lean angle autocanceling switch. I dont have the speedo sensor anymore but maybe this is something to look out for.

IMO this was an advance in technology that Yamaha were aiming at.
In the real world today, I think it’s unecessary on our RD’s; but if you have a working example why not?
I’m thinking about building a loom for my LC with YPVS engine (and a few extra looks) and this will not be a feature I will consider including. Just like the idea of having a new loom to suit.
