So my lad surprises me with some tickets to the London Bike show at Excel in Docklands today Don't normally go to modern bike shows but gotta say I really enjoyed it. Sat on loads of modern bikes, and we had a great time trying bikes for size Obviously not much in the way of 2 strokes - there was a load of nice bikes for sale - Rg500, Rg400, Rzv500's, Nr750, R7 etc - all with huge price tags (the Rg5 was 17K, the Nr was 70k !!) Saw Hag up there flogging his Lc styled diesels; 20190216_120633 by dusty miller, on Flickr And some Bimotas that were for sale, all poa, but this caught my eye; 20190216_122555 by dusty miller, on Flickr 20190216_122544 by dusty miller, on Flickr I had heard of a Bimota framed Tz but never seen one before ! My faves of the day were the CCM Spitfires - would happily own one of those, but apart from that, I will be sticking to my old Lc's a while longer ! Dusty

Cripes that Bimota is stunning.
Still not sold on the fake LC...he's had a go and to be fair it's a good bike but an LC look a like? Nah lol.

The jury is out for me on the 900 Lc ! Hated it when I first saw a pic of one in a mag, but it's much better in real life. Having said that, I still think it's a little odd trying to make a modern diesel resemble an 80's stroker. What did surprise me was how comfortable some of the modern bikes felt - the MT's and the Xsr all felt really good for my achy back, and those CCM's are fairly basic but still quite comfy, as long as you choose the right model. Saw the new Katana too, displayed next to a mint original. The old one still wins on the looks to be honest. The Triumps and Nortons looked great too, and had a lot of interest from show goers. Good to see Dusty

Just looking at the 900 again. I think they have tried to make it look like some of the top hybrids on this forum! Nice colour too. TZ Bimota is something special tho
