Down my local bike café, one bloke has tried both and bought the BMW
He changes his bikes like underpants and he has kept the BM for a few years now
Triumph have quite a few models out now and the 1200 Speed Twin looks good too and the 1200 scrambler
I have the old aircooled Bonneville and I'm 6 foot and the new Thruxton seemed tiny compared to the old models

One of my mates has a new 1200 Bonneville which I've rode a couple of times, engine torque is great, really nice thing to ride

I fancied a change this year from sportsbikes so bought a Kawasaki Z900RS. Rides well, and looks fantastic to me.

My mate took a Thruxton a test ride a few years back and I went with him. Well, he over shot the time on the test ride and then traded in his Repsol cbr1000rr Fireblade for that Thruxton and never looked back. I was gobsmacked! Anyway he has decided to sell it now as he hasn't used it much in the last 12 months and work with family commitments has changed a lot. It is a superb example and I can get a picture if you want to see it before it is advertised.
Aid.

If it was a few years back then it may be the old air cooled 865cc bike

Yes I am guessing that it’s a 1200 as I know the 900 isn’t pokey enough without serious engine work. Also looking at an XR1200
