I would not be looking for a show engine just a basic crank & topend rebuild. The bike bike was sat for many years, I refurbed the carbs & electrics and it ran up and down the road ok and idles fine. But pretty sure it would benefit buy a straight forward top & bottom end rebuild, new seals bearings pistons ect.

has any one used or heard of firefox racing cranks A couple of proven UK companies doing cranks backed up from the lads on here.. I personally had a very poor experience of ' Firefox' regarding suspension..

has any one used or heard of firefox racing cranks They are too cheap for my liking as most likely cheap Thai jobs A straight forward crank build is usually about £240 but then webs are £40 each if knackered Cranks ain't cheap things unfortunately Steve

Just put a new crank in my 350n1 wanted to rebuild the original but the pins were worn/undersize so went for a new taiwanese crank got mine from pjme at wolverhampton as there near to me and i could pick up personally. They do check that the cranks run true before you buy, very good service i thought and £400 for this which i was happy with as they did strip my old crank first,so buy the best you can afford as the crank is the heart of any good two stroke.

Whats the imports on a 325 quid crank then? 20% VAT, plus customs fee of a tenner or something? 325+65+10=400?
Or did I miss a tax somewhere?

I got mine for that price landed in Aus from the USA 6 months ago
might be a bit more now, however I was under the impression that the genuine Yamaha cranks were the best

Gen Yam is better than most, certainly than hot rods.
Ok so, so 500quid vs 430 for hot rods... 70quid for extra peace of mind? Pick up a couple of shift shafts at the same time and double your money selling them in the uk to pay for the post, same price then...

Option 1 - Norbo and buy a new one Option 2 - Grampian for recon. or new Option 3 - Choose anyone else that sends cranks to Grampian Option 4 - Mick Abbey/Chris Appleby/BDK/PJME/SEP Kegworth Option 5 - Ebay suppliers (if you must)
