Hi all not been on here for some time sorry busy working
my Q is i have a mk2 rd125lc and have had for some years now but tonight after a ride out the little bugger blow the bottom end ( having all build back up just going to order some bits tonight)
any way my Q is i have a ypvs engine can i just drop this in for now while mine is being rebuild and will it run with out the power valve conected ,wired up
thanks and hope some one can help with my Q pete

Hi, Not sure about the straight swap, I can only guess it's ok to do it, why not?
I can tell you it will run with the ypvs off.
You have to choose to either open or close the valve by hand to suit your riding preferences.

It will drop straight in. I used to have a Derbi Senda that I put a MK3 125LC engine into, using a TZR loom and powervalve controller. You just need to connect the cables backwards as the pulley is on the opposite side of the barrel.

One more question are the bottom ends the same on the mk2 and mk3 As I have 2 ypvs engines and wandering if I can fit a mk2 lc barrel and head Thanks pete

No the YPVS bottom end has a longer conrod and barrel matches it

Hi again I got my engine back today from my engine builder and good friend
Full engine rebuild top and bottom
Engine back in tonight and she sounds sweet as a nut ,
Now the boring run in time , what sort of miles would you guys recommend for miles to run in ,
I am used to the Moto x side 3 10 mins rides nice and steady then rag the thing lol Thanks

I ran my 350 ypvs in for 100 miles and its been fine

Man of my own hart lol I am motox and don’t really need to big run in but I am happy ish to do a 100 miles run in if needed Thanks for all the people on here that has helped
