Mate I'm not having a pop! Just wondered of the 40m thing was right, that's all. 60m...isn't that an indoor sprint in athletics as well?

Well Kees and i entered the Rotterdam Dirt Ride and it was really fun. Definitely a bit nerve wrecking when you see how wide the track was and it really was a bumpy and uneven. I wanted to put some preparation into the bikes but never had the time as i had to work away until the event. The day before the event i put the new Heideneu K60's (very good) on the bike Kees was using and two old Racing wets (bad idea) on my bike. Kees was running 15/40 sprocket combo and i was running 15/42. To be honest over such a short distance a 15/39 might have been better. With the wets on my bike grip was bad but the K60's worked a treat. We entered with three people using two bikes. I got knocked out straight away racing a big trail bike. Kees and Pieter did really well. By now the crowd was cheering like mad for the little RD's. I think they were like the underdogs as no one took them serious except a few people who have seen me ride one. I think the crowd really liked it when Pieter and Kees had to race each other. Kees knocked Pieter out. Maybe if the other bike had K60's it might have been a different story. Kees made it to the semi final up against a Triumph Speed Triple with aggressive tyres. Unfortunately he messed the start up, he made some ground back up but it is a short sprint. Kees ended up with third place and the man on the Speed Triple won the event. With the RD's they seem to be spinning the back wheels or going skyward when the wheels find traction.
The organiser sent me this clip with Kees trying to keep his bike under control.

Ehm i have just been informed that Kees and the RD have made it into the Big Twin magazine here in Holland. I wonder if the journalist was smoking something herbal when he wrote the article? well it did embarrass most of those big 4 strokes. I will try and post a picture if i can get one.
