Well booger me, I still have it, my own private barn find hasn't been seen for a while as has been buried in the shed since 2009 lol. Dragged her out last Saturday, job of the day was to take out the unreliable death giver auto cam chain tensioner's & fit some manual ones Put some fresh fuel in her & see if she will fire, well she only did, happy days. MOT next then she's out & about for some old fashioned one wheel hooning Just needs a darn good clean now. She still sounds sweet

Lol, mine has Fireblade front end, Renthals, White Power shock & Leo-Vinci pipes so not quite a bland out the box gal I've done inline 4's but they do naff all for me lol, each to their own :-) Forgot to say, bought this gal in 2001, had been low sided, plan was to sort it & flip it, but rode it & thought no way can I go back to an il4 :-)

Must be much better with the mods on it anyway, nothing against V Twins, one of my fave bikes is a Ducati 1198 but even compared to the competion of the era , like a 996 or TL1000s, the Storm lacked a little fizz and excitement, part of the reason there worth naff nowadays.

Yeah, she does everything I need her to, can chase down a lot quicker stuff on the twisties, (they kill you on the straights, but any numpty can pin it in a straight line) TL1000 with the notorious "shall I kill you today or not" rear shock arrangement, 996 yep, I wouldn't kick that one out of me garage. SP1 & 2, not a nice road bike, rode those & much preferred my sorted Storm. The appeal of trackday on Sunday, Europe on Monday works for me though, apart from only having a 100 mile tank range but at least gives your backside a chance to rest at fuel stops. Worst Honda I rode was an RC30, think they were the first 80mph+ first gear bike, just didn't do corners below 70, just tried to flop on it's side, get it up to speed & it changed, which is where it should belong but who could all the time on the road :-)

Still not bad to say she started & ran fine after getting parked up in 2009 though, Honda's, they do have certain things going for em lol
