Maybe stating which bike you have would help with replies.
Why do you suspect that fuel is the problem for a start, has it been sat in the tank for longer than say 3 months?

its a 125lc mk 1 running a 12a carb jetted to 220 for micron not done a plug chop yet as just finished running it in it runs ok 1st 2nd and 3rd giving it the beans and goes right up to 10k revs but then when in band 5th and 6th seems to die off until you change down again

Sounds like it's running like every 125LC I've ever ridden with a pipe on. Problem is......, the power delivery is so peaky, there's bugger all under 6-6.5k, so when the speed and resulting extra wind-resistance get's up, they won't even hold their speed out of the power band in 5th or 6th, let alone accelerate lol. It's either that or get a YPVS model, or a 250/350LC
