Vista print do a cracking deal on business cards and obviously you don't need them to be to fancy regards pictures etc as your established anyway and it's just a convenience thing to have one if a customer asks. Iām a self employed plumber and have been established 20yrs + I had my van sign written several years ago and had a cartoon character plumber put on the side for a bit of a gimmick and now all my clients comment on it, I think a good branding/logo always looks good established company or not š

Personally I'd go with the colour version but remove/alter the two 'offensive' aspects of the image,...a spanner etc in the dogs paw would be better for example.

I'd go for the 10mm combo spanner and some nuts bit off topic but many years ago I used to do the booze run to calais and the wine I used to get was called "the dogs bollocks" it was from eastenders owned by Dave west

Drop the bollox.. looking at the proportions of the sketch. It looks more like a bad case of piles

Is it a business card or just a card to give out?? Don't like the idea of the finger or the bo###x if it's supposed to be your 'professional' contact details (as good, or funny as it is) There's nothing there to remember the business, unless you already know or can decypher the pic or numberplate. Keep it simple, prefer your name on the numberplate, and add something funny as you just mentioned above. Just my opinion of course

Just my opinion of course I agree with you, best to remembered by something funny but not too rude or offensive.

Please don't use vista print, they give my trade a bad name. Yes their prices are cheap, but so is the quality. Your business card is your first contact with potential clients, if you give them a flimsy card on sub standard stock etc, first impressions count.
With regards to your logo, as someone who's profession it is to do corporate branding, business logos, design, web etc for business, as others have said you have to remember your target customers and also potential suppliers might not get the joke or the irony etc. Ultimately if you are starting a business you want to be taken seriously. The first generation of my business had a graphics of pigs in the logo, which I thought was funny, not many others got it.
would say the artwork is a great piece of work, but the tone of it is of an aggressive nature, giving the finger in the air and bollox out etc. So as others have said, a slight tone down might help.... Just my thoughts with my sensible head on.
