I went to 4 newsagents until I found PS. Looked odd as there was a GPZ900 on the cover. Flicked through the entire mag with a girl behind the counter asking me if I was going to buy it...then Dusty told me it comes out wednesday! DOH! (slaps head in Homer fashion) Alex I’ve just did the same thing

I agree, cmon Bazzer, lets see your other bikes. I remember seeing them before Photof**kit ruined it for us. Plus I saw Bazzers latest PV with aircooled engine on Facebook I think. Very nice special ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Dusty ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Got my copy today, only read about Mark's bike so far, didn't take long either. Half a page, sheesh, you could devote the entire magazine to just that bike...which gave me an idea. Wonder if Mark has thought about doing a proper write up with pics along the way (ie like the build thread) and getting it published as a mag? I would buy a copy just for the read as I really like the way he writes, informative but funny at the same time. No idea what it would cost or how long it would take to do (maybe just print the build thread minus all our inane comments). If cost was a factor perhaps we could all chip in a few quid?

And Mark's RD550LC has my vote too. Having watched it coming together on this forum with a blow by blow account(a great read), the factory look of the bike and the engineering that has gone into it, has to make it the best 'special build' of those 10. Having had a couple T500's I do like that Rickman T500 though.

I can’t believe I missed this thread! Firstly, thank you Veg for creating the thread. I just read through all your comments guys and it brought a huge lump to my throat. Once again I feel truly humbled - Cheers all, for taking the time to vote, Mark

Mark has my vote as well, it was immense reading to see it all come together and highly enjoyable. He has to win it through the workmanship alone.

Alex Alex thats what I do with my website. I basically pull my forum posts (my builds are not on here anymore, now on RDRZ500), cut, reword, reformat, adjust photos and then host. But, its a vast amount of work if im honest. That's time I could be working on bikes. Getting stuff published is much the same initial process but then youve the cost of the print run and the post hassles as well. Ive done that with a book and its better to let someone else handle it, but then costs escalate again. Dont get me wrong, Im not saying Mark shouldnt do it, I'd love it if he would too, but understand if he doesnt. There isnt much thanks around for either medium to be honest and it all costs the writer money ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

I know what you mean Jon. I paid once to have a book printed and it was expensive. But to satisfy myself I re-read the build thread and thoroughly enjoyed it second time round! Yes it would eat into bike work BIG time so I retract my request...sorry Mark!
And what's your website called? I'm keen to have a look.

Alex and Jon, food for thought. The way I see it is, if the bike wins the competition, it will have about a 10 page write up. If it doesn’t (I certainly am not counting my chickens as we all love Yam 2 strokes on here, so were a bit bias), Jim and Alan (Practical SB editors) seemed quite smitten by the triple and I would push for an article in their great mag. If both avenues fail, I’ll do some sort of write up as Alex describes.
I’ve read Jon’s build on his website and it is much easier to read. Jon’s bike inspired me to have a go at a special - if it wasn’t for this site, I’d just be restoring bikes to standard.
Cheers, Mark
