Nice to meet up with fellow 2-stroke nuts.....cheers Norbo for lowering yourself and allowing me to switch club allegiance this year....I enjoyed myself and will most likely be back...if the Organisers haven't tracked me down with a professional hit man before then... Soz about the odd fuzzy shot...was using old camera...and forgot me glasses...and couldn't see the controls that way...plus I was trying to swipe the screen all the time...but its old school and up a bit..left a bit...aim fire... "2-stroke nuts...Photos....."....

Had a DB1 years ago. Got loads of attention but no better than a 900ss tbh.

Thanks for posting , thanks for bringing the bikes . i think it wass the best stand we have had at this show for bikes a real nice mix or makes and models . thanks to every one who took the time to bring a bike . # Twas a pleasure Norbo...and as they say...Same time same place next year...lets do it again.... Did you end up "buying" the industrial wheeled trolley you were using to pack everything up???...teehee....saved a lot of effort and time....and you boys were all done and gone before me...and I had just 3 bikes to take back 4 miles to home.........Mind you....perhaps next time I'll not have The Honey Monsters Grandad with me to "assist"....he couldn't start his ruddy van...and that was after I wheeled the vdue to the back of the hall....then he wouldn't pass the man in a hi vis....so went the long way around in the traffic.....I stormed home thru the backstreets on the KDX like a hooded hooligan...and then waited patiently for over an hour for Captain Birds Eye to appear......When he eventually rocked up...he uttered the words "ruddy D**khead going the worng way down the motorway..."...Jeeso...no wonder he was late...some idiot going the wrong way down a motorway...."No..." he said..."it was me...I got half way home (North Manchester)...and then I realised it was your bike in the back of the van and not mine...."...All this despite the fact his trannie has no separation between cab and cabin...and he has a rear view mirror...so my bike was staring at him all the time as he headed the wrong way........Its only when he heard one of the tie down straps let go...and a bike lurch to one side...did he realise it was not his bike in the back......And yes...the one tie strap was the One and only one that he strapped in.....Never again...but at least he was honest and straight enough to admit his mistakes....muppet is his new name from me...

Katy I could believe that Katy....when they announced the price for him to come up and collect...the judge said "and runner up in the 1980's class is the Bimto DB1......"...just where they get their Judge from heaven knows...I think he can only pronounce Yamaha...hence choosing them so often...teehee...Paul did make a point later to go over to the judge and point out his error......

Yes the wheel type, the ones you have put link to mate have seen , and a touch over the top, and costly for my requirements. I think the fizzy one could be home made, by the fizzy owner hence the request of who owns it way back but got no reply. Cheers though on link. Ozzy

Ozzy I'll ask at this years show....does look home made as evidently its specifically sized to the wheelbase, wheel diameter and width...bottom picture looks like a clothes hanging rail as used in Clothes shops...at least the bottom half...but then some skilful bending and shaping of upside down mudguards to hold the wheels
