So not touched for ages, and only ever started with a frame, in lockdown so been of faceache all day everyday to stay in touch, low and behold this loom turns up with switchgear for £40 posted, well to say I’m happy is an understatement. Had a few texts with Mutts as I’ve got the iggy and pd that he wired up so I know (fingers crossed) what to do to get it wired up. Hopefully then I can get the brakes done and start stripping to get some colours on it.

Quick update, 3 hours splitting the Canadian loom today, made a sub loom to change the handlebar controls to uk spec. All the wiring sorted now. Was a bugger to get it all to work how it should but worth the hassle.

Russ now you’ve sorted the loom can you advise how to do it I have one to do,cheers 😀 The only problem I’ve encountered so far is I’ve split the live to the clocks and rear light and main beam to 1 wire so the fuse for the tail is now defunct. It’s pretty easy but I’m using non standard lights etc.

Not a biggy as been tidying cave to get this benched up. Cut the helmet lock off so seat now fits as shock got in way. Hopefully in the cave a bit longer tomorrow. I’ll shape it more to surround the shock before it gets painted.

Mocked plate up, think I’ll cut the subframe bracket off and have some tabs welded on to make the plate sit back a bit.

So the gsxr forks needed chroming, dropped on these rgv ones that didn’t. The outers were a bit scabby so had a thou or too whipped off to make them smooth again. Was going to do them white but seen someone doing that and I’m not 1 to copy so having eyed them up with the painted muddy I think I’m going mirror polished instead.

Cut all the rubbish off the rear subframe had to improvise outside as too hot in the cave Off to see Bri now to weld a bracket on for the new rear light and number plate so it sits back a bit

Had a play at making a rear master cylinder bracket, needs tilting forward to allow more piston movement, would prefer one made of billet but not sure on costs
