Hi .
I'd imagine this has been done many times before, I've done a forum search but nothing conclusive has turned up.
I have an RD350R with damaged front plastics, side panels and belly pan. What I'm planning is to change it to single round headlight with renthal type handle bars, looking similar to the 350N model but without the clip ons.
Is there another top yoke I can fit or do I have to modify the 350R yoke ?
Are there any potential problems with doing this ?
Any help or advice will be most gratefully received.
Cheers

Hi
You need to fit an lc2 top yoke which will allow renthal
Complications as follows:
You have to drop the forks through the yokes to clear the bars (the bikes with clip on type bars have longer stanchions) so ride height will increase
Throttle cable ideally needs changed to an lc2 (29L) one to give more length
Clutch cable needs changed to lc2 again for length ( the R one may make it)
Clutch perch needs changed to lc2 to allow mirrors to be fitted

Long stanchions 'dropped to fit Will alter Trail/ Rake geometry. Noting that what often separates a Very good handling bike and one that isn't... is a VERY small difference there. Clever... to retrofit designed for the planned Yoke use Stanchions . . as well.

Nice solution to the problem It certainly is, and after much thinking that would be my preferred method, If anyone has any of those and are willing to sell them please post up or pm me. Otherwise I'm gonna buy a standard F2 top yoke, machine the top and bolt some risers to that.

If you can find some 35mm ones, you can use this type of riser instead and keep the yoke as standard. Do you have a link to those or know who makes them ..had a search last night and couldn't,t find them ..cheers

They don't look too difficult to make though!
