You have to congratulate the better side. Your bowlers were much quicker and more versatile and as said before Smith was outstanding. As for England Cook did not perform and I think it's time he retired from International cricket along with Anderson and Ali.

Cook maybe, Anderson I think is still a very good bowler, he still did better than Mitch Marsh in the bowling stakes, not in the batting though
He showed what he could do in Adelaide and yesterday morning in Perth
Ali has the issue with his spinning finger, we shall see how he goes on the SCG which is spin friendly
Broad was well below par too, however you have a definite up and comer in Overton

Our boys are a bit to good at home with the bat and ball. I'd be interested to see how they'd go playing the forth and fifth test in the old dart. Exact same teams , if only to measure the home ground advantage. Pity about your weather this time of the year.

Well what can l say, the Aussies are kicking your Arse. Probably not time zone friendly for the poms to watch but I must say the 2nd test in Adelaide had me worried that we just might get beat. But true to form the poms collapsed leaving the bahmy army awfully quiet. Bring on the next test! Yeah not good for the English, although we have put in a couple of good batting stints.Im in Southport on the Gold Coast at the moment so will just keep quiet about it unless we win the 4th test!

Well, what a place. We have gone down to Tugun and are spending a couple of days at a villa, just stunning. Had a couple of beers at the surf club overlooking the beach, again, just stunning. Why anyone wouldn't want to live here is beyond me.the beer is really good, not cheap tho.

come across to the West Coast and watch the sunsets having a cold beer at the beach
you can see everything that looks like the UK in the south to the absolute remoteness of the North West and ancient Kimberley where the oldest rocks on earth are, or the deserts of the inland
If you don't you miss out seeing a third of the country

Tonight we are off to the Gabba to watch Brisbane Heat play Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash 20/20 tournament. Not the Ashes but at least it's cricket in Australia.
Come on Brisbane!!!

Watched the Brisbane - Sydney 20/20 match at the Gabba last night. What a fantastic time, plus Brisbane won. The whole thing was just brilliant, the ground, the atmosphere, the crowd, the play, I was just stunned at the experience.

Maybe the rain has saved the Aussie's and denied England of its maiden win. But there is still 98 overs of play, as long as the weather plays its part so if England come out and be aggressive there is still time.

So we have had a full day of Geoffrey Boycott-esque forward defensive cricket, stretching the minutes into hours, I'm so glad I didn't spend a ton of cash flying down to the MCG just to watch the Aussies doing impressions of opinionated ex England and yorkshire batsmen.

yes if it weren't for the rain yesterday that was a win for England
what a flat pitch though, both Smith and Anderson made the correct call on that

Yes I felt that England was not aggressive/confident enough to declare at 100 runs in front and send the Aussie's back in. If they had done this I would be confident of an English victory. Don't feel bad, the Aussie's don't play with confidence either and it's only the skill/determination of Steve Smith that has saved them.

No question Steve Smith is the best batsman around But biggest factor of any home test series has to be the grounds men Carl

Well I think an apology is in order for the ball tampering cheats that is the Australian captain and his cohorts.
It disappoints me greatly that they have tarnished the reputation of Australian sports people and it's sporting culture.
Hopefully the sporting world can forgive us for the actions of a few dills.

Sorry, poms were rubbish. Beaten convincingly in 3 tests. Back to the drawing board fellas. Yeah by cheats, makes it easier to stomach though. Nice work fellas 🤣. “Smith admitted the Aussie "leadership group" had devised a plan to tamper with the ball, and Cricket Australia's investigation found Warner instructed Bancroft on how to carry it out”. He who laughs last……
