I have gone through two sets of ngk plugs on my 4lo , I think/thought it may be the stator.
But I have just gone through two new ngk plugs on my beta trials bike , is anyone else finding the same problems , these are not irridium

Should be numbers stamped on the flats of the plug body I believe if genuine.

Erm.. Fake pharmaceuticals are being found in Hospital pharmacy supplies If that doesn't frighten.. it should. Beyond that, There are Fake resistors coming out of China. That said; Resistors can be worth fractions of a Cent.... from Genuine makers. Whole world is seemingly buying based on price alone. Ain't globalisation Grand?

How are these failing exactly? Typically plugs are good until erosion has eliminated the electrode's necessary sharp edges. So what symptoms are causing you to decide that these are shot? Merely curious.

A few months ago I bought a box of ten NGK B9ES plugs from ebay for £15.90 including delivery. The box of plugs is here on my desk so I've just been through the 'distinguishing fake NGK plugs' link above and, surprise surprise, they are genuine NGK. If genuine NGK are £15.90 for ten how much does a box of fake ones cost?

I know that the likes of Poundland did a recall on their pack of fuses for the humble 3 pin electrical plug, unbelievable that someone even bothers to fake those.

I bought a dozen Oral-B DualClean toothbrush heads from Amazon last week for £80.97 - £6.75 each which is far from cheap but hopefully I now have enough to last me a couple of years. Loads of ebay sellers have 'genuine' DualClean heads for sale for as little as £3.99 for a pack of four but they fall to bits after being used a handful of times. I'd rather pay nearly seven times as much for the genuine item than have tiny bits of metal/plastic/bristles falling off when I'm cleaning my teeth!

I've had two sets of ngk plugs fail in the last few weeks. One from an old set and one brand new one. Both causing misfiring before failing completely.

Is fouling causing the misfire ? Are you on premix ?

Not on pre mix, I'm using pump. Plugs looked fine just packed up.

For years now I check ngk plugs with a multi meter . non resister ones but I still check the evx ones . yes do it at the counter set the meter to tone/continuity lead on each end . peep is good , no peep there is already a gap for the spark to jump . mate had a box of 4 and 3 were no good .

Hi , yes set the dial on continuity . if your meter makes a tone when the leads are touched together. put one lead at one end of the plug and the other at the other end if you get a noise /peep then the plug has no gap/break in the middle of it .
